Shame & Resilience – July CPD

Our next guest for the meeting on July 15th will be Jacqui Sjenitzer who will be leading a workshop exploring topics of Shame and Resilience from the work of Brene Brown. Here’s more information on it from Jacqui:

1448045941085Come and learn (more, if you already know this work) about how shame and vulnerability can prevent you and your clients from showing up fully and living a brave life. After an overview of Dr Brown’s work (based on the books Daring Greatly and Rising Strong), you will choose an area of life you want to show up more bravely in, and explore how the voices of ‘not _______ enough’ or ‘not ready’ might be holding you back. Jacqui is a coach, trainer, and Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator-Candidate.

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead. Further information is available at
