We all know the importance of listening, empathy and rapport in coaching. But what do you do when they are not enough? How do you provide stimulating and challenging coaching to senior people and high achievers?
In this workshop, CCNet member Andrew Scott will lead an exploration of Challenging Coaching. We will look at the limitations of some traditional approaches, slay a few sacred cows (or at least quiz them), and discuss some different core principles. We will then consider five types of intervention, feedback, accountability, courageous goals, tension, and systems thinking (FACTS) and how they apply in practice. Finally we will work together in coaching pairs to experiment with using FACTS, to take our coaching to a new level.
This workshop will be provocative and fun – and quite possibly take you out of your comfort zone in to the Zone Of Uncomfortable Debate!
As always, the ticket fee includes refreshments and lunch. Please book online so we know that you are coming, but you can pay cash on the day.
